1. Overview

VinScouter, Inc. ("VinScouter", "we", "us") provides software that helps used-car dealerships discover and contact private-party vehicle sellers. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

Dealer account data: name, work email, phone, dealership name, rooftop ZIP, role.
Usage data: pages viewed, listings tagged, messages sent, IP, user-agent.
Seller contact data: publicly available contact info from marketplace listings (name, phone, email when posted).
Communications: SMS, email, and call metadata sent through the unified inbox.

3. How we use information

We use information to operate the service, surface vehicle opportunities, deliver messages on behalf of your dealership, prevent abuse, and improve the product. We do not sell personal information.

4. Data sharing

We share data with infrastructure subprocessors (hosting, database, telephony, email), your CRM when you push a record, and as required by law. A current subprocessor list is available on request.

5. Seller rights

Sellers may request suppression at any time by replying STOP to SMS, unsubscribing from email, or contacting privacy@vinscouter.com. Once suppressed, no dealer may contact that number or email through VinScouter.

6. Retention

Account data is retained for the life of the subscription plus 30 days. Listing and message data is retained for 24 months. Suppression records are retained indefinitely to honor opt-outs.
