Lucas has spent more than twelve years in the dealership industry, working every role on the lot — from porter to sales, finance, and ultimately the operations seat. Over that time, he personally acquired and sold thousands of vehicles and paid millions in auction fees in the process.

That figure became the catalyst for VinScouter. After years of observing dealers pay a premium at auction for inventory their own local markets were already selling privately, Lucas set out to build a better path to acquisition — one that puts dealers directly in front of private sellers and keeps margin where it belongs.
